Semax Nasal Spray

$100.00

Semax is a lab-made peptide made from seven amino acids, which is why it’s called a heptapeptide. It comes from a tiny fragment of the natural hormone ACTH (4-10), but it doesn’t act like a hormone.

Scientists study Semax to understand how it might influence things like:

  • How Brain Cells Communicate: Semax influences signaling molecules in the brain, which can influence systems linked to mood, focus, learning, and motivation.
  • Gene Expression: Studies show that Semax can alter the activity of genes involved in brain health, including those related to neuronal growth, repair, and plasticity.
  • Stress Response Pathways: In lab studies, Semax was found to support healthy inflammation in brain cells under stress.

Our 10mL Semax peptide nasal spray contains 30 mg total peptide, releasing a precise 375 mcg amount for lab research. Each bottle contains 80 sprays.

What is Semax?

Semax is a seven-amino acid peptide derived from a portion of the ACTH hormone. However, unlike ACTH, Semax is engineered so it doesn’t stimulate hormonal activity, making it a useful research compound for studying neurological, cognitive, and stress-related pathways.

The nasal spray format allows researchers to investigate Semax absorption through the nasal mucosa, a route commonly used in neurological study models.

Semax Chemical Information

Sequence: Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro
Molecular formula: C37H51N9O10
Molecular weight: ~ 783 g/mol
Form: Synthetic peptide, nasal spray
Other Ingredients: Lab-Grade Distilled Water

Each batch of Semax research peptide undergoes in-house and third-party lab analysis to confirm:

  • Identify (peptide sequencing verification)
  • Purity (≥99% by HPLC)
  • Absence of contaminants (microbial, heavy metals, solvents)

Lab testing ensures that the material provided is consistent, high-quality, and suitable for research purposes.

Research Related to Semax

Here are some highlighted studies related to the Semax research peptide. Please keep in mind that this compound isn’t designed for human or veterinary use. It’s not approved as a drug or dietary supplement, which means its use is limited to research.

Neurotrophic Gene Expression (BDNF & related genes)

In animal and cell experiments, Semax seems to “flip on” particular brain repair and growth programs. A big part of this is boosting levels of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and similar growth factors that help the brain stay healthy and form new connections, which is essential for learning and memory [1].

Stress-Response & Inflammation Pathways

Semax influences the activity of genes that regulate how the brain responds to stress, inflammation, and repair. For instance, in rats with experimental stroke, Semax changed the activity of dozens of genes in the cerebral cortex that control immune and inflammatory responses [2].

Because of Semax’s effects on gene expression, inflammation regulation, and cellular stress pathways, it’s frequently studied in experimental models looking at neuronal survival, oxidative stress, and brain plasticity [5].

Dopamine & Serotonin Signaling

Semax appears to tweak dopamine and serotonin systems, primarily in subtle ways rather than acting like a stimulant. Dopamine and serotonin are key neurotransmitters involved in mood, reward, motivation, and cognitive processing. Because of this, scientists use Semax in experimental setups involving neurotransmitter balance and brain chemistry [3, 4]
